A simple reason why I volunteer at the SPCA
Meet Beepo.
UPDATE: Volunteering at a shelter does not always have a happy ending. When we went in for some training this afternoon, we stopped by to take Beepo for a walk. There was another dog in his cage. While we had hoped this old dog would find a nice, quiet home, that was not the case. Beepo had some serious health issues and had been euthanized, shortly after the last time we walked him. Godspeed, good old dog.

A simple reason.....
